Research interests include environmental and spatial systems, with a focus on spatial analytics and policy frameworks. Previous research examines heat/hazard adaptation, decarbonization, and land-use and social dynamics across multiple scales in urban environments. The overarching goal is to advance sustainable, equitable, and healthy spatial systems while addressing social and environmental vulnerabilities.
Previous research integrates quantitative approaches, including spatial data analysis and GIS-based techniques.
My masters' thesis examined the potential for carbon mitigation in residential neighborhoods in Seoul using diverse mapping and statistical methodologies (see previous work: potentials of carbon mitigation through the provision of solar energy in different types of residential neighborhoods in Seoul).
I enjoy swimming, playing basketball, and practicing yoga and meditation in my free time. I also like engaging in quiet reflection while watching documentaries, imagining how the future may unfold in both the short and long term.
